Text2Card ("we", "us") turns a photo of your printed notes into flashcards. This policy explains what we process and what we don't. We've designed the product to keep your data on your device as much as possible.
Your photos stay on your device
When you upload a photo, the text recognition (OCR) runs entirely in your browser. The image itself is never uploaded to our servers. Only the extracted text is sent to our card-generation service, used to produce your flashcards, and then discarded — we do not store your notes, images, or generated decks.
No accounts, no profiles
We don't require an account, and we don't build a profile of you. Your decks live only in your browser until you export them.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are visited and whether the tool works. This does not identify you personally.
Cookies & advertising
Text2Card is free and supported by ads and affiliate links. Advertising and affiliate partners may set cookies to measure clicks or show relevant offers. These are only enabled if you choose "Accept" on our consent banner; if you decline, we do not enable non-essential cookies. You can change your choice by clearing your browser's site data.
Third-party links
Some links (including affiliate links) lead to third-party sites with their own privacy practices. When a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. We disclose affiliate links where they appear.
Children
Text2Card is a general-audience study tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because we don't store your notes or build a profile, there is little personal data to access or delete. You control ad/affiliate cookies through the consent banner and your browser settings.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
